What I will do is drag two of these files in the set. The latest example of his generosity is releasing a huge sample pack for public use. Added bonus, it comes completely royalty-free! It just makes sense at least to play it for yourself, to change it a little bit. Well recently, he has done something a little differently.
The pack, referred to as Chimaera, is royalty free. You can hear how it sounds on Splice without having to buy it. I just put these on whatever two instruments I had and I can throw something else on. So, we get a zip file and obviously you just extract the zip file. How do we install this? These are sweet melodies that I want to use as my foundation to just make some of my own songs off of and I figure working with these melodies, hearing the sounds to help me get in practice essentially to make my own. I want to throw a piano on this one. You use the five hundred credits. Now, I recommend going in and modifying the chords. That means I can put it in my track in and I can use it without having to pay him any money. I think Splice is well worth it for the cost. Joel has expressed that he does not care about royalties because he wants the sample to go to use. Now, one way you can install it, once it is extracted, you just click on the Chimaera.
You need a Splice membership. Producers are able to use the samples without having to pay. Then, you can just play around with the instruments and just throw different instruments on here and see what sounds good. Here are some samples of samples from Chimaera. When it comes to infectious melodies, swirling synth keys and flawless kick drums, deadmau5 seems to always take the cake. Then, you just play them on the same thing together and the idea is you just add an instrument.
So, what better way for me to learn than to use the exact same setup here? These are things that Joel was just messing around with. . . . .
